If I could give this place 10 stars, out of 5, I would!!! I've been coming here for 20 years.... Old fair lawn alumni here and I can stand by this place as the best bagels I've ever had in life traveling all over the world. Whenever I'm back in town I make sure to stop in and get a bagel or half a dozen. Whether it's cream cheese, butter, or a bacon egg and cheese, River rd hot bagels slap Every. Single. Time. Long live river road bagels.

Very nice staff, very good food (Turkey egg and cheddar cheese breakfast roll. Cheese was just right amount of gooey and yummy, Turkey tasty and warm.) The important part tho was that I got a surprise mini bagel with my Kaiser roll order and that’s the best surprise ever. I love my mini bagel, it’s my whole personality now.

Super snappy and quick service. The cashier was rigid, rough and tough without being mean. The world needs more of her. Short Latina lady. Didn't catch her name. Got a Taylor ham egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Super good. Bagels baked in house too. Points off for atmosphere because it's a bit bright and the interior could use some sprucing up. Definitely recommend.

Found my new bagel store. Used to go to Modern but the place went so far downhill (they use a Panini Press to toast a bagel, yuk), then I saw River Rd Bagels. Wow, what a world of difference. Better prices, much better food and a great team! Definitely my new bagel store! Thank you!!!!!!!

Hot Bagels really knows how to make a breakfast sandwich! I had one of the best turkey, egg, and cheese sandwiches I've ever tasted. The woman who took my order was incredibly pleasant, and the whole place had a warm and inviting vibe. It was a great experience from start to finish—I’ll definitely be coming back.

One of the best spots for a bagel sandwich. Tried their BEC, SEC and THEC and all were delicious. Price is fair compared to other local spots for how well these are prepared. Top 3 in Bergen for sure.

We had the BEST first experience at River Road Hot Bagels! Marlin was so friendly and gave us the best service. And the bagels were both crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. My family and I will definitely be returning back soon!

Superrrr picky about my taylor ham, egg, and cheese and can say they delivered what I was looking for. I am scared to deviate from my regular place but was not disappointed. everything was perfectly placed on the bagel and flavor was delicious. honestly recommend salt, pepper, ketchup because mine was lacking in the salt department but still really good. everyone was nice and it was very quick after we placed our order. actual bagel was fluffy and tasted fresh... enjoyed it and recommend giving it a try

This place has the BEST bagels in North Jersey. I have been in so many different places, but this one is by far the BEST. It is a small place. When you get in, you are going to find 2 lines, one for grilled items (hot) and the other for non-grilled items. The service is so good, and they are fast! The bagels are fresh and soft, and the customer service is excellent.

If one wants to get their bagel fix, then this is the place located in Fair Lawn. Greeted by the staff, my partner and I arrived today for a small bite at River Road Hot Bagels. Their bagels are daily made on-site and have a lot of options. There’s a lot of foot traffic as it is takeout only with no seating indoors. Greeted upon arrival, we decided on a wheat bagel with plain cream cheese and a salt bagel with vegetable cream cheese. The bagels were light, fluffy with a decent crisp, good size, and tasty. The counter staff is fast, courteous, and accurate. Price is comparable to the area. We were first-timers today but won’t be our last, as we can recommend this place.

My go-to spot for bagels when I’m in Jersey! The staff here is absolutely amazing and so incredibly kind and friendly. I’ve been going for a while and have yet to learn the staff names, but they have never failed to put a smile on my face. The bagels are always so fresh, airy, and TASTY!! There is also something DIFFERENT about their cream cheese… I’ve never tasted better. Thank you for always providing the best bagels and for making my day! Highly recommend coming here!😊🩷

I recently visited River Rd Bagels while traveling, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience. Despite not being familiar with the area, I discovered this gem in my search for quality bagels. The service was outstanding, with a particularly exceptional lady who assisted us with genuine warmth and friendliness. The bagels themselves were phenomenal—perfectly baked and incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area or just passing through!

Definitely a smooth operation. If you are ordering anything from the grill, you place your whole order on the right side of the shop, but if you're just getting bagels and spreads you order from the left side of the shop. That's a cool design because it kept everything moving. Moving. They had a good selection of everything and I loved how many different types of people were coming in and out of this place. Bagels bring people together! I will say that with tax my bacon, egg and cheese bagel came to $9 which was jarring because it's the most. I've paid for a bacon, egg and cheese in a long time. It was a good sandwich and all, but for that price point I was hoping it would be a little more mind-blowing.

Great fresh soft bagels. Got an everything bagel with eggs and bacon for my daughter. Then I ordered some plain to take home. The lady at the register was a doll and so sweet. Definitely coming back.

BEST BAGEL IN NJ! They have fresh hot bagels coming out on rotation, I never ask for my bagels from here to be toasted because they’re always warm and fluffy on the inside and have a nice crisp on the outside. Every bagel here is literally made to perfection & will not disappoint! Their breakfast sandwiches are never a miss too! I love getting a classic BEC or Sauage egg & cheese on a roll with SPK, 10/10!!!

If you're looking for the ABSOLUTE BEST BAGELS IN BERGEN COUNTY NJ then you must get to this place ASAP. While they have been at this location since the late 80's, I'm a bit embarrassed to say I only went there for the first time about 2 weeks ago. The bagels are far and away the best ones I have had since I moved to NJ in 1981! The outside is nice and firm, while the inside is deliously soft without being mushy or too soft. These folks truly know what they are doing! 😁 If you are anywhere near Fair Lawn NJ and you love a great bagel as I do, you must make a point of stopping by here. You definitely will not be sorry.

Excellent bagels Excellent service by a great staff. I shop here and Teaneck rd bagel only. Update This place is fantastic. Not just the bagels which are well made and delicious always but the staff is consistently top notch. The people working the grill are quick and efficient.

The perfect Jersey bagel. There is a constant stream of fresh bagels. We had the egg and cheese plain bagel and the cream cheese/lettuce/tomato/onion on everything bagel. Both were fantastic. There’s a reason this place has such a high rating. The person behind the counter was also super friendly, and gave my kids each an extra plain mini bagel.

Plushy bagels, do the job, better than average! Won’t disappoint but won’t blow you away. Although my friend recommended them to me and he said they’re his favorite, so to each their own! A little bit confusing inside with the two sides to order different things. I also always get spinach in my eggs but they didn’t have any.
